A Look Back on 2011

I’ve decided to post a year in review for 2011. I thought it would be fun with New Year’s Eve coming up tomorrow! 2011 was a busy year for Teri. It also came with the news of Desperate Housewives ending. Let’s take a look back…

2011 started with false reports that Teri was going to leave Desperate Housewives. She fired back quickly with “There are not enough adjectives to describe how stupid, off base, and ridiculously untrue this is.”

In April, it was announced that Teri would launch the Bread Art Project to Benefit Share Our Strength with Grain Foods Foundation.

“I really commend the Grain Foods Foundation’s efforts to provide children in need with proper nutrition and nourishment,” said Hatcher. “As a mother it’s heartbreaking to learn the impact of childhood hunger in this country. I’m proud to support the Bread Art Project and become part of the solution to this growing problem.”

In August, ABC announced they would be ending Desperate Housewives after the 8th season. Many fans were upset by the news. Showrunner Bob Daily did confirm that the show probably won’t feature the death of one of the core housewives. “We feel very protective of our four main women,” says Daily of the characters. “Which is not to say that one of our [other] main, top 10 characters won’t bite it. We have talked about that.”

Kiss them goodbye.

On December 10, 2011, Men’s Health listed Teri as number 38 in their “Hottest Women Of All Time” list.

Quote of the year

“I think it’s important, on a daily basis, to keep fostering the quality of our lives,” she says. “Not taking things for granted. Being aware of how we treat other people and ourselves. Watching what we eat, what we don’t eat, if we exercise. These are choices we’re making about what we choose to do with our time. I’m encouraging myself — and others too — to take control of making the days in our lives have the quality we want them to.” - Prevention Magazine June 2011

So that is our look back on 2011. I hope that you all have a wonderful New Year! See you in 2012!
